The Engineering
What Makes The Lyric Cycles Graffiti X Tick

Motor, Battery & Drive
3,000W hub, 60V 40Ah, Gates belt
3,000W hub, 7,200W peak
An 80A controller sits behind the motor. Ben says most e-bikes run 20 to 30A, and took it to 45 mph up a hill.
60V 40Ah, 5-hour charge
Samsung cells and an 8A charger. Ben says it takes about 5 hours from empty.
Belt drive, no chain
A carbon belt that is waterproof, dustproof and lube-free, with a sealed cadence sensor. “Zero maintenance needed.”

Frame & Suspension
160 mm inverted fork, dual 90 mm rear coils
Two rear coil shocks
90 mm of travel with rebound adjustment. The stock springs suit riders from 130 to 250 lb, and Lyric sells lighter or heavier ones.
160 mm inverted fork
Air-adjustable with compression and rebound, as tested. “Buttery smooth.”
Motorcycle tires
CST 100/90-16 hybrid dual-sport tires. “Fully rounded off, even contact all the way across when I’m leaning.”

Brakes & Lights
Four-piston 203 mm brakes with regen, 6,000 lumen light
Four-piston, 203 mm, regen
Ben tested Magura MT5E four-piston brakes with 203 mm rotors; Lyric now lists TRP DHR EVO. Regen starts as soon as you squeeze the lever. Ben braked from 45 mph and believes he stayed inside the 20 ft marker.
7-inch, 6,000 lumen headlight
A proper projector light with daytime running lights, low and high beam, plus turn signals and a tail light.
4-inch colour display
Voltage, speed, watts in or out, trip, odometer and a mode switch between e-bike and off-road. Ben gives it 10 out of 10.

The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben’s Take
This is one of the first bikes I’ve ever ridden with a dual personality.
To be honest, this is one of the most comfortable bikes I’ve ever been on.
I am just blown away by the amount of attention to detail that’s gone into this bike. That separates it from 90% of the bikes out there.
Ben did not give this bike a Cave Score in the review, so there is no number here.
What I liked
- Two modes: a legal 20 mph e-bike or an unlocked 45 mph
- Four-piston 203 mm brakes with regen, strong enough that Ben stayed inside 20 ft from 45 mph
- Smooth, plush full suspension and motorcycle tires
- Gates belt drive with no chain to maintain
- 7-inch 6,000 lumen headlight and a bright display
- 30 miles ridden with charge still left
What to know
- Ben says it is a bike that has pedals, not a bike to pedal
- Off-road mode is for private land only
- 125 lb with the battery
- The seat does not adjust
- Speeds above 20 mph are not legal on bike paths, as Ben notes
- Ben’s test brakes were Magura MT5E; Lyric now lists TRP

Yes. Squeeze the brake lever and the motor starts putting power back into the battery. Ben shows the watts coming back on the display.
