Built To Haul, Tuned To Ride

Long-Tail Cargo Frame
Gravity-cast · 440 lb payload
Carry Almost Anything
A long rear rack and a 440 lb total payload swallow kids, cargo and gear — this is the load-hauler of the Aventon line.
Comfort Built In
A gravity-cast frame, adjustable quill stem, front suspension fork and a suspension seatpost keep the ride planted and comfortable loaded or empty.
Low, Confident Stand-Over
A step-through-friendly deck and 20-inch wheels make it easy to load up and get moving from a stop.

750W Torque-Sensing Hub
750W nom · 1188W peak · 80 Nm
Real Pulling Power
A Shengyi 750W hub peaks at 1188W with 80Nm — enough grunt to move a fully loaded bike from a standstill.
Torque-Sensor Feel
A torque sensor meters power to how hard you pedal, so assist comes on smoothly instead of surging.
60-Mile Battery
A 36V 20Ah 733Wh LG-cell pack is good for up to 60 miles and recharges in about 5 hours.

Stops, Safety & Smarts
ACU · hydraulic disc
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Tektro hydraulic discs with a big 203mm rear rotor haul a loaded cargo bike down predictably.
ACU Connectivity
Aventon's ACU adds GPS location, 4G, geofencing and an integrated rear-wheel lock — worth having on a bike you'll park loaded.
Cruise & Boost
Cruise control holds a set speed and Boost Mode adds a burst of torque for pulling away with a full load.
The Cockpit
A Simple, Smart Cockpit
BC147 Display + Torque Sensor + Cadence/Torque Switch
The Abound LR runs Aventon's BC147 display for speed, battery and assist at a glance, with a switch that lets you flip between torque- and cadence-sensor feel.
Cruise control, Boost Mode and full ACU smart features round out a cargo bike that's genuinely easy to live with day to day.

The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben's Take
I haven't loaded up the Abound LR on camera yet, but on paper it's one of the most sensible cargo e-bikes going. A 750W hub that peaks at 1188W with 80Nm and a torque sensor gives it the grunt and the smooth power delivery a loaded long-tail needs, and the 440 lb payload plus a long rear rack means it genuinely replaces a second car for the school run or the grocery haul. ACU connectivity, a rear-wheel lock and hydraulic brakes with a big rear rotor are exactly what you want on a bike you'll park loaded. At $1,999 it undercuts a lot of the cargo competition. It's heavy at 88 lbs and it's a 20 mph Class-2 bike, so it's about hauling comfortably rather than going fast — full ride review to come.
