Heybike Titan
A moped-style Class 2 e-bike with passenger foot pegs, a 750W hub motor and full suspension. Ben ran the hills, the brakes, the top speed and, after a battery mix-up, the real range.

Moto Looks, Street-Legal Power

750W Hub, 65 N·m
750W rated · 1,500W peak · rear hub
Two Batteries, One Range
48V 15Ah (720Wh) per pack, up to 1,440Wh combined. Heybike says 40 miles on one, 80 on two.
Class 2 Throttle
Factory-set to 20 mph; the Heybike app unlocks 28, which Ben's GPS confirmed on the button.
Single-Speed Drivetrain
One gear, a small chainring and a chain tensioner. Nothing to adjust beyond keeping the chain lubed.

Moto-Style Full Suspension
80mm fork · 55mm rear · 20×4.0 tires
Crown Fork, No Labels
Plain black, 80mm of travel per Heybike. Ben: “It doesn't have the most amount of travel, but it does feel really good.”
Dual Coil-Over Shocks
Progressive springs, soft at the top of the stroke and tightly coiled at the bottom so they are hard to bottom out.
One-Piece Mag Wheels
No spokes to true, wrapped in 20"×4.0" tires with a quiet street tread.

Street Legal, By Design
Class 2 · UL 2849 · turn signals
20 mph From The Factory
Ships Class 2: legal on the street and the bike path in most places, no paperwork.
UL 2849 Certified
The whole electrical system is certified, not just the battery.
Lit For The Road
Headlight, taillight, brake light and turn signals, all standard.
The Cockpit
Heybike App, Three Speed Levels
Colour Display + Bluetooth App + 15/20/28 mph Levels
The colour display runs a full settings menu in plain English: brightness, units, trip reset and the speed limit. The Heybike app pairs over Bluetooth and adds Class 1, 2 and 3 modes plus a custom mode, which is where the 20 mph factory limit opens up to 28. Ben's GPS read 28 mph on his top-speed run.
For the review Ben set the three levels to 15, 20 and 28 mph. With split throttle speed switched on, the throttle follows those limits too; with it off, the throttle goes to 28 mph in any level. That makes it easy to set a lower limit for a younger rider.

Size & Fittings
Heybike Titan 20" Fat · Moped-Style
Will It Fit You?
- Rider height5'3"–6'3" (Heybike)
- Seat height31.5"
- Ben's fit5'9", ~200 lb, flat-footed both sides
- Max load330 lb sticker · 300 lb Heybike's page
- Wheelbase41.3"
Ben is 5'9" and about 200 lb, and he could flat-foot the ground on both sides with the seat right out of the box. The Titan sits low for a fat-tire bike. Pedalling is another story: Heybike lists riders up to 6'3", and with no assist Ben said “my knees come up to my throat right now.” The frame sticker on his own unit reads 330 lb max load; Heybike's product page and spec sheet both say 300, so the page shows both rather than picking one.
Plan Your Ride
Your Range, Not Mine
Heybike's 40/80-mile figures are ideal-conditions claims. Ben logged 16.2 miles on one battery with a bar of charge left in his own test, though his second battery was switched off for the whole ride, so treat that as a conservative floor, not a ceiling. Set this up the way you'd actually ride it.

✨ Features & Options
Weight and warranty length aren't on this page: Heybike's page and spec sheet disagree with each other on both (weight is unpublished on the product page; warranty reads 2 years on the page and 1 year on the spec sheet), and Ben hasn't independently weighed or confirmed either on camera. We'll add them once that's resolved.
The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben's Take
"I really feel that they have nailed it for a bike, for a lighter rider, right? Like a younger teenager, you know, someone in the 13 to 18 year old range… It's a very well put together bike, UL certified electronics, a company that's got your back for customer support… Not too powerful, but powerful enough. Not a ton of suspension, but just enough to take the edge off… Good tires, good brakes, and a very nice electric system."
No Cave Score. Ben reviewed the Titan in full but hasn't given it a score, so this page doesn't show one.
👍 What stands out
- Passenger foot pegs on a Class 2 frame that ships limited to 20 mph
- Unlocked in the app it hit 28 mph on the GPS, exactly as claimed: “under promise, over deliver”
- Climbed Ben's test hill at 12 mph with no pedalling, and still held 11 mph on the second hill with the battery bars blinking
- Colour display with a plain-English menu, plus an app that sets a speed limit for every level
- “I've never seen a headlight this wide ever before”
- Two identical batteries: run one out, switch on the other to get home
- A tracking number for replacement parts within two hours, through Heybike's regular support channel
👎 What to know
- Modest power: “this thing is not a beast in the power department.” Ben had to help it through deep sand
- Near-slick street tires. On dusty dirt: “I don't really trust these tires”
- Braking from 28 mph: “Not the best braking performance, but adequate”
- Pedalling with no assist is cramped for a grown adult, whatever the 6'3" rider claim says
- Ben's bike arrived with two cracked plastic pieces from shipping (display and button cluster)
- The 16.2-mile range test ran on one battery; the 30 to 40 miles with both is Ben's estimate, not a measured run
- Unlocked to 28 mph it's no longer Class 2, and youth e-bike rules vary by city, so check yours

Frequently asked questions
How fast does the Heybike Titan go?
It ships Class 2 and factory-limited to 20 mph. The Heybike app unlocks it to 28 mph, which Ben's GPS confirmed exactly on the number during testing.
How far does the Heybike Titan go on a charge?
Heybike says up to 40 miles on the single 720Wh battery, or up to 80 miles with the dual-battery option. Ben logged 16.2 miles on one battery with a bar of charge left, but his second battery was switched off for the entire ride, so that number is conservative, not a ceiling. Ben's own estimate with both batteries is 30 to 40 miles, depending on how much time you spend at 28 mph.
How much weight can the Heybike Titan carry?
Heybike's product page lists 300 lb max load. The sticker on Ben's own frame reads 330 lb. Either way, the passenger foot pegs mean two riders combined have to fit under that number.
Who is the Heybike Titan for?
Ben's verdict: a lighter rider, “like a younger teenager, you know, someone in the 13 to 18 year old range.” It still got his roughly 200 lb up his test hill without pedalling and to 28 mph once unlocked, but it isn't built for heavy riders or rough trails.
How much does the Heybike Titan cost?
From $1,399 for the single battery. The dual-battery version is $1,699.
What stands out on the Heybike Titan?
Passenger foot pegs on a genuinely street-legal Class 2 frame, a 28 mph app-unlock that GPS-verified true to the claim, and a headlight Ben called the widest he has ever seen, and a colour display and app that set a speed limit for every power level.
What are the downsides of the Heybike Titan?
Power is modest: Ben had to help it through deep sand. The near-slick tires felt sketchy on dusty dirt, braking from 28 mph was “adequate”, and pedalling with no assist is cramped for an adult. His bike also arrived with two cracked plastic pieces from shipping; Heybike support sent a tracking number for replacements within two hours.
