Natural Power Delivery

A new Lectric-designed torque sensor meters power to how hard you pedal — smoother, more efficient and more controlled than the old cadence system.

Folds & Packs

A fully foldable 6000-series aluminum frame with fold points at the stem and mid-frame drops the XP4 into a trunk, RV or closet.

3.5" TFT Color Display

A detachable backlit 3.5" TFT color screen with USB-C and five intuitive ride modes — Eco, Tour, Sport, Sport+ and Turbo.

Two Power Levels

The standard 500W hub peaks at 1092W with 55Nm; the upgraded version steps up to a 750W motor for 50% more power on climbs.

Up To 85 Miles

The 48V 500Wh (10.4Ah) battery does up to 50 miles; the 17.5Ah long-range pack pushes that to up to 85 miles.

Class 1/2/3

Five ride modes make it a Class 1, 2 or 3 bike, with a thumb throttle and up to 28 mph where permitted.

602 Hydraulic Brakes

Serious Stopping

New 602 hydraulic brakes on 180mm rotors (2.3mm thick) with 28% more rotor thickness — strong, quiet, all-weather stops.

Puncture-Resistant Tires

20 × 3" tires with a custom low-resistance tread come pre-filled with Slime to shrug off flats at no extra cost.

150 lb Rear Rack

An integrated rear rack holds up to 150 lbs and is co-pilot capable with the LevelUp rack and child seats.

The Bike Cave Verdict

Ben's Take

The XP4 is the bike 450,000+ riders already know, so expectations are high — and on paper it delivers. The move to an in-house torque sensor is the headline: it should make power delivery feel far more natural than the old cadence XP models. Add a proper 3.5" TFT screen, 602 hydraulic brakes, a folding frame and up to 85 miles from the 750W/17.5Ah build, and you've got a do-everything folder that still starts at $999. It's heavier than the Lite2 and still a 20" fat-tire bike, so it's more hauler than sprinter, but the value is hard to argue with. I'll have a full ride review once I get one on camera.

👍 What stands out

  • New in-house torque sensor for natural, efficient power
  • Folding fat-tire frame that still carries a 330 lb payload
  • 3.5" TFT color display, 602 hydraulic brakes, 8-speed Shimano
  • Up to 85 miles from the 750W / 17.5Ah build
  • Still starts at $999

👎 What to know

  • Not yet reviewed on camera — verdict and score to come
  • 62 lbs before the battery — heavy to lift despite folding
  • Top speed and range depend on the paid 750W upgrade
  • 20" fat tires favor comfort over outright speed
