Ben's Take
The Pace 5 REC is the comfort cruiser for people who found the Pace 4 a touch gentle. It keeps the easy step-through frame and upright position but adds a stronger 750W hub that peaks at 1188W — 1440W in Boost — so climbs and getaways feel more effortless, plus a higher 330 lb payload, regenerative braking and a fuller ACU smart system with a rear-wheel lock. The five colours, including Sakura and Koi, give it real personality. At $1,599 it's a small step up from the Pace 4 for a useful bump in muscle and security. I haven't ridden it on camera yet, but as an easy-going cruiser with a bit more grunt it looks like a likeable bike. Full review to come.
