The Cockpit
TFT Display, Tap to Start
TFT Display + NFC Start + Torque Sensor + App
The Ranger 3.0 Pro pairs a TFT display with NFC tap-to-start and the Heybike app for settings and ride data.
Because it runs a torque sensor rather than cadence-only, the assist feels responsive and natural — and you can switch between Class 1, 2 and 3.

The Bike Cave Verdict
Ben's Take
The Ranger 3.0 Pro is the thinking person's folding fat bike: a torque sensor for natural power delivery, an adjustable air rear shock, a big 720Wh battery good for up to 90 miles and a genuinely low step-through frame — all folding down in ten seconds. At $1,399 it's pricier than the Mars, but the torque sensor and tunable suspension are meaningful upgrades. I haven't ridden it on camera yet, so the score is pending, but this is the one I'm most curious about.
👍 What stands out
- Torque sensor — natural, responsive assist
- Adjustable air rear shock + hydraulic fork
- Up to 90 miles from the 720Wh battery
- Low step-through frame folds in 10 seconds
- Three colours, 440 lb payload
👎 What to know
- Not yet reviewed on camera — verdict and score to come
- 75 lb is heavy to lift folded
- Pricier than the cadence-only Mars 3.0
- 7-speed... actually 8-speed, but modest gearing for 28 mph
